Vu Credit Transfer Form – If you’re unclear about the transfer process, you may submit the Transfer Credit Acquired Form or the TCAF. There may be a class that you didn’t complete and haven’t been awarded a grade for that you’re unsure if you can apply it to your degree. The good news is that you can. In general, courses that receive the grade of C or better do not require material review. But, it is important to note those courses that do not transfer into a specific U.M. program will be considered departmental credit. If it’s not, it can’t transfer it to a U-M degree and you may not be able to fulfill the requirements for the degree.
The coursework must be graded equivalent to a grade of C or better
In order for your courses to be transferred you must have the standard of C or higher. In order to be eligible for transfer credit, they must be completed at an accredited university or college which includes The Higher Learning Commission or the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MASAC). International programs must be assessed as an individual case. Official transcripts must be provided for the CCS. Your previous institution must also have been able to recognize the courses.
To transfer credits from your former institution, courses taken at a foreign institution must be graded with a of C or higher. Pass or Satisfactory grades aren’t transferable, nor are developmental coursework, college algebra or career and technical courses. However the policy has been amended during the COVID-19 disease, and courses completed prior to that can be considered transferable.
For transfer credit, courses in regionally accredited schools need to have earned a mark at “C” or better in the previous institution. To be able to transfer credits in order to transfer credit, the courses must have the same scope and contents. While a C-grade is the acceptable minimum grade for transferable credits Certain institutions are able to accept marks of “D” or higher. Accreditation institutions include The Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges together with Southern Association of School and Colleges.
TCEL lists courses that have transferred to Clemson before. This is not an exhaustive list . The courses not mentioned here will need to be assessed when applying to Clemson. In addition, the TCEL listing also includes various course equivalents. However, the list does not reflect differences in the amount of credit hours that institutions offer. Additionally, even though the TCEL lists courses that are comparable to the courses offered by other colleges and universities, the Office of Admissions’ evaluations reflect current information.
While your prior course work may be acceptable, however, it is vital to revisit its academic consequences. If you’re unable do the required work you may want to consider retaking it. Be sure to earn at minimum a “C” in the course as well as meet any other requirements set by the university. Repeating a course three times can negatively impact your GPA cumulatively Be cautious when you are deciding whether or not to repeat it.
