However, this policy has been reviewed during the COVID-19 virus, and any courses previously completed are now accepted.
For credit transfer, courses taken at regionally accredited institutions must have been awarded a grade at “C” or better in the previous institution. To be able to transfer credits these courses must be similar in scope and subject matter. While a C grade is the minimal requirement for transferable credits, some institutions accept scores of “D” or higher. Accreditation institutions include these bodies: the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges, along with the Southern Association of School and Colleges.
TCEL includes courses that have transferred to Clemson prior to. This isn’t a complete list . All courses not included in this list will have to be evaluated before applying to Clemson. In addition, the TCEL listing also provides similar courses, but the list is not a reflection of the differences in the amount of credit hours that institutions offer. The TCEL lists courses that are equivalent to courses taken at other colleges It is important to note that the Office of Admissions’ evaluations depend on the most current information.
While your previous course work may be acceptable, however, it is vital to revisit its academic consequences. If it is not possible to successfully complete the required coursework take into consideration retaking the course. Make sure you earn at least a “C” in the course and fulfill any rules made by the institution. A course that you have taken two or three times will affect your cumulative GPA so you need to be aware of this whenever you’re considering repeating it.
