To transfer college credits from your previous institution, courses you took at a foreign institution must have a minimum grade at least C or better. Pass/Satisfactory grades are not considered transferable, nor is developing coursework, college algebra, or career and technical courses. However this policy was revised during the COVID-19 outbreak, and any courses taken before then can be considered transferable.
To be eligible for transfer credit, the courses that are taken at accredited regional institutions require a passing grade of “C” or better in the previous institution. To transfer credits in order to transfer credit, the courses must be identical in scope and contents. A C grade is considered the minimum requirement for credit transfer However, some institutions will accept Grades of “D” or higher. Accreditation institutions comprise the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges as well as the Southern Association of School and Colleges.
TCEL shows courses that have been transferred to Clemson prior to. This is not an exhaustive list . Courses not listed here will need to be evaluated before applying to Clemson. According to the TCEL listing also lists different course equivalents, but the listing does not show the difference in the amount of credits awarded between institutions. Although your previous work could be acceptable, it is essential to review the academic implications. If you are unable to do the required work, consider repeating it. Be sure to earn at least a “C” in the course and also meet any stipulations that the university requires. Retaking a course two or three times could affect your GPA cumulatively and should be taken into consideration before deciding to repeat it.
