There may be a class that you didn’t finish or didn’t earn a grade for or perhaps you’re wondering whether you could apply it towards your degree. The good news is that you could. Courses that are graded an C or better don’t require a review of material. But it’s important to know it is not transferable into a specific U.M. program is considered to be departmental-credit. If it’s not, you aren’t eligible to transfer it onto a U-M course and you may not be able meet the requirements for your degree.

To transfer your courses it must be attained the standard of C or higher. To transfer credit from your former institution, courses taken at a foreign school must have been awarded a grade of C or better. Not all grades, including Pass/Satisfactory, are transferable, nor are development coursework, college algebra or technical and career courses. However this policy has been altered during the COVID-19 epidemic, and any courses previously completed will be accepted.
To transfer credit, courses offered at regionally accredited institutions are required to be graded or grade “C” or better in the previous institution. To transfer credits, the courses must be comparable in scope and subject matter. A C grade is considered the minimum requirement to transfer credit however, some institutions allow grades of “D” or higher. Accreditation organizations comprise organizations like Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools as well as the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges together with Southern Association of School and Colleges.
TCEL lists the courses that have transferred to Clemson prior to. It is not a complete list , and any courses that are not listed in this list will have to be evaluated before applying to Clemson. The TCEL listing also includes course equivalencies, but the listing does not show the difference in the amount of credits awarded between institutions. Although the TCEL list courses that are comparable to the courses offered by other institutions but the Office of Admissions’ evaluations have been based on recent information.
While your previous course work might be acceptable, it is important to review its academic consequences. If you are unable to complete the required course work look into retaking it. It is important to get at minimum a “C” in the course and you have met any conditions stipulated by the institution. When you are taking a class two or three times will affect your GPA cumulatively and you should be cautious when deciding to repeat it.
