The coursework must be graded equivalent to a grade of C or better
For your course to transfer they must be completed with an average of C or higher. In order to be eligible for credit transfer, they should have been completed in an accredited college or university, such as the Higher Learning Commission or the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MASAC). International programs are assessed individually. Official transcripts must be handed over at the CCS. Your previous institution should be able to accept the courses.
In order to transfer your credits from a former college, courses completed at a foreign school need to have been graded at least C or better. Pass/Satisfactory grades are not considered transferable, nor is colleges algebra, developmental courses or career and technical courses. However this policy was amended during the COVID-19 flu pandemic. Any courses completed prior to that will be accepted.
For transfer credit, courses conducted at regionally accredited colleges should have been graded with a with a grade of “C” or better in the previous institution. To transfer credits the courses must be similar in scope and content. While a C-grade is the minimum requirement for credit transfer Certain institutions are able to accept marks of “D” or higher. Accreditation institutions comprise that of Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools The New England Association of Schools and Colleges as well as the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges and Southern Association of School and Colleges.
TCEL lists the courses that have transferred to Clemson before. It’s not a complete list . Courses not listed in this listing will need to be evaluated before applying to Clemson. Also, this TCEL listing also lists Equivalencies for courses, however, the listing doesn’t show any differences in credit hours between institutions. In addition, while the TCEL lists courses that are equivalent to courses taught at other colleges It is important to note that the Office of Admissions’ evaluations reflect current information.
While your previous course work may be acceptable, however, it is imperative to review its academic implications. If you’re unable finish the course work and you are unable to complete it, you might want to try again. Make sure you earn at minimum a “C” in the course and fulfill any rules that the university requires. A course that you have taken two or three times can negatively impact your GPA cumulatively therefore be cautious when deciding to repeat it.
